What Happens When You Call

We start with the basics. Which project do you have in mind, such as a driveway, patio, pool deck or a set of steps, and roughly how big is it? We ask what sits there now, because breaking out old concrete, asphalt or pavers and hauling it off changes the scope. We also ask about access. A ready-mix truck needs a clear path to the forms, or the crew has to pump or wheel the concrete in.

If the job fits our work, we schedule a visit to measure, check the grade and drainage, and look at the soil. The expansive clay common in south Orange County can heave a slab poured on a thin base, so the base depth goes into the plan. You then get a written, line-item estimate. After your concrete is poured and has had time to cure, we check back and walk you through its care: when it can take a car, when to seal it and what to keep off the surface.

Good to Have Ready Before You Call

  1. Rough measurements of the area, even paced off, so we can talk about slab size and thickness.
  2. A short note on what is there now, such as cracked concrete, bare dirt, lawn or pavers that would need to come out.
  3. Your HOA's rules on color, finish or stamped patterns, if your home is in an association with an architectural review step.
  4. A sense of slopes, gates and the path from the street, so you can describe access while we talk.
